FAQ

Zwitch doesn't react to my leader key.

Make sure Zwitch is running (bolt in the menu bar) and that your leader key matches the one set in Settings › General, then try the double-tap again.

An app on another Space doesn't come forward.

Enable the Mission Control setting that switches to a Space with open windows for the app.

How many apps can I assign?

16, on the letters A–Z and digits 0–9. Past 5, the HUD splits them over two rows.

Can I change the leader key?

Yes: Command, Option, or Control, left or right — in Settings › General.

Can I move the HUD?

Yes — Settings › General › Appearance › HUD position: tucked under the menu bar (Top) or centered on screen.

Why does Zwitch need no permission?

Because it never has to watch your typing. Zwitch reads letters only while its own panel is open and holding keyboard focus — anything you type outside it stays invisible to the app. That leaves macOS nothing to ask about: no dialog on first launch, and no entry in System Settings › Privacy & Security.

A shortcut shows a dashed icon.

That app was deleted from your Mac. Free the slot in Settings with the ✕ on its row — or tap ⌫ in the open panel and press its letter.
